Explore the foundations of Eastern medicine and acupressure in this two-day continuing education workshop led by licensed acupuncturist Shinai Lilly, L.Ac., CET.
Designed for massage therapists, this workshop offers an opportunity to broaden your professional knowledge and discover a complementary approach to bodywork.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This course introduces the foundational theory of Oriental medicine, current science regarding the effectiveness of acupuncture and acupressure, the main energy pathways through the body, and specific, highly effective major acupressure points along with their practical applications and safe practices.
Additionally, the curriculum instructs participants on how to seamlessly integrate acupressure into massage therapy sessions and includes formal assessment of the skills and knowledge gained throughout the course. Special emphasis will be placed on client education and connection, clinical reasoning, and identifying key contraindications.
